Absences from school

Pupils are required to attend school regularly. If you know that your child is going to be absent from school you should inform Reception/class teacher.    If a pupil has been absent, a note from the parent/guardian should be emailed/sent to the class teacher on or before the child’s return to school to explain the absence. If your child is absent for more than 20 school days the School Management is obliged to inform the National Educational Welfare Board under the terms set out in the Education (Welfare) Act 2000.
