Admissions to the 2027/2028 school year:

Application and Decision Dates for admission to Scoil Íosagáin 2027/2028

The following are the dates applicable for admission to Junior Infants and our special classes:

 The school will commence accepting applications for admission on

Monday October 12th 2026

The school shall cease accepting applications for admission on

Friday November 13th 2026 at 3pm

The date by which applicants will be notified of the decision on their application is   

Friday 4th December 2026

The period within which applicants must confirm acceptance of an offer of admission is

No later than Wednesday 16th December 2026*

*Failure to accept an offer within the prescribed period above may result in the offer being withdrawn

 

Special Class Application and Decision Dates for admission to Scoil Íosagáin 2027/2028

The following are the dates applicable for admission to the school’s Special Classes which cater for children with Autism, Moderate General Learning Disability/Multiple Disabilities, and Severe/Profound Learning Disability:

The school will commence accepting applications for admission to the special class on 

Monday October 12th 2026

The school shall cease accepting applications for admission to the special class on

Wednesday 10th February 2027 at 3pm

The date by which applicants will be notified of the decision on their application for admission to the special class is

Wednesday 10th March 2027

The period within which applicants must confirm acceptance of an offer of admission is

Wednesday 14th April 2027*

*Failure to accept an offer within the prescribed period above may result in the offer being withdrawn

Number of places being made available in 2027/2028

 

The number of places being made available in Junior Infants is 74

The number of places being made available in the special classes catering for children with Autism is 3

The number of places being made available in the special pre-school/Early Intervention class catering for children with Autism is 4

The number of places being made available in the special class catering for children with Multiple Disability is 1

The number of places being made available in the special class catering for children with Moderate General Learning Disability is 3

The number of places being made available in the special class catering for children with Severe/Profound General Learning Disability is 2

Note: the school will consider and issue decisions on late applications in accordance with the school’s admission policy.
