Grandparents’ Day

Grandparents’ Day is the highlight of Catholic Schools Week, the day when we show our appreciation for the great job grannies and granddads do for our precious children. Thank you most sincerely to the many grandparents who travelled from near and far to celebrate Grandparents Day at Scoil Íosagáin. We truly appreciate that you came back to school, making such lovely memories for your grandchildren. We are grateful to the grandparents for their love, their generosity, their wisdom and the great example they show to their grandchildren. May God bless them.

This is what our Call to Holiness is all about: cherishing the importance of family and spending time with our loved ones.

We thank all those who participated in Grandparents’ Day in any way, from start to finish, all who participated in Mass, including our Senior Choir, readers and Altar Servers. Afterwards in the hall there was great entertainment provided by our Junior Choir, tasty refreshments were served by staff and members of the Parents' Association, and lots of chats and craic were had. Visits to the classrooms were most enjoyable for pupils, staff and visitors alike.

We love these home/school/community occasions and hope you do too.
