Visit from Representatives of the Irish Olympic Federation

At Scoil Íosagáin we always encourage our children to "Dare to Believe ", to believe that they can achieve their dreams, their ambitions and their potential, with determination, commitment and dedication. This is part of our Changemaker Schools philosophy of embedding the pillars of leadership, teamwork, creativity and empathy into our daily relationships and activities.

So it was an absolute pleasure and privilege for us to host the "Dare to Believe" initiative of the Irish Olympic Federation, with special guest speaker Jude Gallagher from Tyrone, who represented Ireland in Boxing at the 2024 games in Paris. He gave the children an inspirational speech and even led them in an amazing boxing masterclass. He dared to believe and he realised his dream! Well done Jude.

Also in attendance were Olympic President Lochlann Walsh, Vice President Sarah O'Shea, CEO Peter Sherrard, Minister for Sports Deputy Charlie McConalogue and Cathaoirleach Paul Canning, Donegal County Council. Thanks to Mr Sharkey for arranging the visit with Team Olympic Ireland .

We Dare to Believe that some of our Scoil Íosagáin pupils will realise their Olympic dreams in the not too distant future.
